About the organisation

CESI is France's largest engineering school by enrolment, with over 120,000 alumni and 18,000 students across 26 campuses. Founded in 1958 by industrial groups like Renault and Snecma, it remains uniquely governed entirely by professional sector federations, including the UIMM, Numeum, FNTP, FFB, and UTPF (representing SNCF, RATP, and other transport operators). This industry-driven model, supported by a 200-researcher lab, contributes up to €927 million to French GDP and keeps training closely aligned with real operational needs. Drawing on nearly 70 years of federation partnerships, CESI has built strong expertise in Civil Works Engineering and Railway/Urban Transport infrastructure through its Civil Works Engineer program and Construction Project Management Advanced Master. It also offers advanced skills in maintenance engineering, BIM, AI, digital twins, AR/VR, and IoT, covering the full infrastructure lifecycle.
