Duration: M12-M30

WP 4, led by DB and CNAM picks up on the results of STAFFER and is geared towards the concrete implementation of effective vocational education and training measures. The work is driven by the conviction that the development of digital learning media alone will have no effect if the responsible national multipliers are not involved. This is particular important for training concepts addressing new skills and cross-border rail traffic requirements as addressed in Task 4.1, led by DB

Task 4.2, led by UB focuses on the target group of trainers. Without trainers who are convinced of the new approaches and who, more than that, are given the competence advantage in handling these media that makes them confident learning facilitators, the goal will be missed. In order to achieve such a development, the responsible decision-makers in the companies must also be taken along on the journey - this is the focus of Task 4.3, led by PKP that focuses on implementing key recommendations of the STAFFER Blueprint project for specific training programmes.

Finally, Task 4.4, led by CNAM will prepare in close collaboration with the SERAS web and communication team the Rail Erasmus Programme for apprentices, vocational trainees and students, closely linked to the development of the SERAS Rail Erasmus Hub

As an overarching output of the different tasks, WP 4 will:

  • identify relevant skills for selected occupational railway profiles;
  • elaborate a guideline portfolio for orientation when setting up new vocational qualifications;
  • develop a New Skill Toolbox with ready-made learning concepts, learning media and trainer documents in a transferable and editable format so that the content can be adapted to the qualification requirements of the target group and national legal framework conditions;
  • implement international learning concepts using the example of ETCS;
  • provide guidance on earning opportunities for for trainers and mentors;
  • develop and piloting learning and experience-oriented exchange programmes for administrative staff of educational institutions as well as for operational staff and trainees.
